Men's grooming near Infopark: a routine that fits work

Barber cutting a man’s hair with scissors

If you work at Infopark, a good haircut doesn't have to wait for the weekend. Toni&Guy Essensuals Infopark is on the first floor of Pine Arcade on Infopark Road, above Apollo Pharmacy, and it's open until 10 PM every day.

What follows is a practical routine for working professionals: how often to cut, what to ask for in a fade, how to look after a beard in Kochi's humidity, and which plans make regular visits cheaper.

How often should you get a haircut?

It depends on the cut more than the person. The shorter the sides, the faster the shape goes.

Cut Rebook every Why
Skin or high fade 2–3 weeks The shortest sides show regrowth first
Low fade or taper 3–4 weeks Grows out more gradually
Textured crop or scissor cut 4–6 weeks The top holds its shape longer
Longer styles 6–8 weeks Mostly a shape and tidy-up

The simplest habit: book the next appointment before you leave. It keeps you on schedule, and pre-booking your next visit gets you 10% off.

Fades: what to ask for

A fade is the gradual blend from very short at the sides to longer on top. The main choices:

  • Low fade: the blend starts just above the ears. Conservative and office-friendly.
  • Mid fade: starts around the temples. A little sharper.
  • High or skin fade: starts high and goes down to the skin. Striking, but needs the most upkeep.
  • Taper: shortens only at the neckline and sideburns. The most low-key option.

Your consultation covers length, fade height, how you style it and how often you're willing to come back. Be honest about that last one: a skin fade you can only refresh every six weeks will look tired by week three. Clippers handle the fade and scissors add texture on top.

Every men's cut includes the consultation, a wash and styling. A cut with a Senior Stylist is ₹550 and with a Top Stylist ₹720, before GST. Details are on the men's haircut and beard page.

Beard care between visits

At the salon

Service Price
Beard shape-up ₹200
Zero trim ₹200
Regular shave (blade) ₹200
Beard design ₹350
Head shave ₹400
Beard colour ₹500

A shape-up every two to three weeks keeps the cheek and neck lines clean. A cut and shape-up together come to ₹750 with a Senior Stylist or ₹920 with a Top Stylist.

At home

  • Wash your beard with a mild cleanser rather than regular shampoo, and use a little beard oil daily.
  • Dry it fully after washing. In Kochi's humidity, a damp beard plus sweat underneath is a recipe for itching.
  • If you tidy the neckline yourself, stay below the line your stylist set.
  • Itchy, flaky skin under the beard that doesn't settle with gentle washing can be a form of dandruff. See a dermatologist if it's red, spreading or won't go away.

The desk-job add-on: head massage

Long days at a screen leave most people knotted across the neck and shoulders. A head massage is the quickest fix on the menu: a 30-minute head oil massage is ₹999 (₹1,699 for 60 minutes), and the shoulder and neck oil massage is priced the same. Both include a hair wash and blast-dry, so you can go straight back to work without oily hair.

If your scalp is dry, itchy or flaky, a men's hair spa is ₹900 for 30 minutes or ₹1,300 for 60. For a specific problem such as dandruff or hair loss, the SP Alchemy protein treatment runs as four sittings two weeks apart, from ₹1,200 per treatment. Sudden or heavy hair fall is worth checking with a doctor too.

A simple routine

  • Daily: wash and dry your hair properly, beard oil, sunscreen on your face.
  • Every two to four weeks: cut and beard shape-up, depending on your fade.
  • Once a month: a head massage or hair spa, whichever you need more.
  • Before a big day: a clean blade shave. Bring your interview letter and services are 10% off within five days of the interview date.

Plans that make the maths easier

Unlimited men's haircuts: ₹7,999 once, for a year, for the same person. Cutting every three weeks works out to about 17 cuts a year, which is ₹9,350 at Senior Stylist rates or ₹12,240 at Top Stylist rates. At every four weeks, about 13 cuts, it's ₹7,150 or ₹9,360. So if you keep a fade sharp, the plan comes out ahead; at a slower pace it depends on the stylist level, so ask which levels it covers when you sign up.
