Essensuals began in 1997, when Toni, Sacha and Christian Mascolo — the family behind TONI&GUY — saw room for a diffusion line: a salon for a younger crowd that might see TONI&GUY as a special-occasion treat. The idea was a price point well below the main brand, a relaxed atmosphere, and no compromise on the hairdressing.
In India the brand is run by Paulsons Beauty and Fashion, which launched TONI&GUY in Chennai in 2010 and holds the master franchise for Essensuals. The Infopark salon works to the same training, methods and rate card as Essensuals salons across the country.
